INTERNET SECURITY ANALYST

THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Gala Coral Group is Europe’s largest integrated betting and gaming company, employing around 20,000 employees. As well as over 1,500 betting offices, bingo clubs and casinos, we have a significant online presence in the UK and throughout Europe.

Due to substantial growth in our online offer, the E-Commerce Division currently has an excellent opportunity for an Internet Security Analyst to work with the security team in day to day support of security related products and services.

Key duties include:

Monitoring of Intrusion Detection Systems
Assisting with day to day management of Checkpoint and Cisco PIX/ASA Firewalls
Carrying out daily house keeping tasks – firewall requests, proxy management, system checks, IPS management
Responding to incoming emails sent to the CERT® Coordination Centre
Maintaining/configuring Firewalls/IPS/Spam Protection/Antivirus to protect local desktops and servers.
Ensuring that system patches are applied to policies in force.

THE CANDIDATE:

As the ideal applicant, you will have a degree in a computer related field and demonstrate the following:

Significant experience in Checkpoint Firewall, Snort, RSA Securid, Toplayer, SSL VPN, PGP, Linux/unix, Win2K, Crossbeam and Nokia.
Experience with or substantial knowledge is preferred in the following; Common host-based and/or network security tools ,common types of attacks against systems and networks, internet security issues and application layer firewalls.
Knowledge of internet protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, BGP, etc.),information security tools,computer security incident handling and cryptography and encryption tools.
