SENIOR ANALYST DEVELOPER (GAMING)

THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Gala Coral Group is Europe’s largest integrated betting and gaming company, employing around 19,000 employees. As well as over 1,700 betting offices, bingo clubs and casinos, we have a significant online presence in the UK and throughout Europe.

Due to substantial growth in our online offer, the Group IT currently has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Analyst Developer to create online and offline games back ends. Duties include:

Developing, maintaining and supporting new games back ends for the company’s portfolio;
Analysis of business and user requirements and production of functional specifications;
Project implementation from inception through development and support;
Technical testing of game functionality;
Calculating odds for new games
Designing, Developing and supporting APIs to integrate with 3rd party products
Resolving problems on specific platforms.
Liaising with the QA team in testing of games

THE CANDIDATE:

With an IT or Scientific academic background and proven experience in an IT Development environment, you will have experience of all stages of the development lifecycle (specification, development, testing and implementation). Qualifications will include PHP 4 or 5, XML, Oracle 8i (or above) or other RDBMS, SQL and PL/SQL (triggers, stored procedures). Experience developing XML feeds and SOAP APIs would be an advantage.

Able to work well within a team, you will have good technical skills, good communications skills and the ability to provide appropriate technical solutions to business related problems. You will be capable of leading small projects from inception to delivery, guiding junior developer efforts. Knowledge of statistical mathematics and experience working in a gaming environment would be a strong advantage.
